Marchers are provided pizza for dinner.
We need volunteers to bring drinks & desserts to the band room by 4:45 PM to go with the pizza.
We ask for snacks and water for for the 3rd quarter break to be delivered to the band room by 5:45 PM.
Chaperones arrive at the band room by 6:00 PM. Responsibilities include:
Make sure that the water and snacks (usually located on the right side of the band room) go onto the pit crew's cart
About 6:15 PM, walk beside or behind the band as they march over to the stadium
Sit near the band students (far side of bleachers)
Distribute water as needed and snacks/water after the half time show
Bring 2 trash bags from the band room, tie to the stairs coming down from the bleachers and remind students to deposit their trash
Keep an eye on instruments while the marchers enjoy a free 3rd quarter.

Chaperones arrive to LCHS according to the particular competition's schedule, generally 30 minutes before departure at the latest.
Trip responsibilities include:
Taking attendance once students are on the bus.
Riding on the bus with the students and enforcing rules:
Absolutely no open food containers on buses
Water only. Clean up any water spills or water bottles may be banned.
Respectful behavior, please. Watch your language.
Competition responsibilities include:
Walking beside the band as they walk to the area where trucks are parked. (Will vary depending on location.) USBands.org provides information for each venue.
Ensuring that students stay with the group.
Assisting with uniform & dress:
Hair all the way up: comb, pin, spray
Plumes: wear white gloves, remove plumes from their tubes and plastic sleeves and place them on the sheet
Plumes go into hats while marchers are warming up: plumes face out, like a unicorn
Baby wipe shoes before marchers walk onto the field
Once marchers are lined up to go onto the field, parents can go into the stands to watch. Link back up with the band immediately after the performance.
After-performance responsibilities include:
Removing plumes from hats and repacking.
Plumes go into their plastic sleeve metal part first and should slide into the tube metal part first.
Marching band representatives for awards will keep their plumes.
Stay with the band while we wait for scores / awards.
Walk back to buses.
Take attendance.
Accompany students during the Sheetz stop.
